Tagged by Libby

I was tagged by my adorable pal Libby.  This one’s tough as I don’t have a middle name!

RULES:

“You have to post these rules on your blog. Players, you must list one fact that is somehow relevant to your life for each letter of your middle name. If you do not have a middle name, choose one you would like to have. When tagged, write your own blog post containing your middle name facts.”

Before I get to the list, I just wanted to point out that in 1st grade, our teacher had everyone go by their middle names for a day.  I was the only person in the class that didn’t have a middle name, so my name tag said “I DON’T HAVE ONE”, and that’s what I was called for the day too.  A little humiliating for a 6 year old, huh?

I guess if I could choose my middle name, it would have to be Claire (after a cousin I greatly admire!).

SO – let’s get to pretending that my middle name is Claire:

C – CHUBBY – not to be negative, I’m just stating the obvious here.  CARNIVORE would’ve also fit nicely for the letter “C”.  Someone get me a steak.

L - LAID BACK – I’m one of those people who’d rather sit around and do nothing than actually have to get up to do something.  Maybe rather than LAID BACK, I should’ve written LAZY.

A – ANNIE’S MOM - (and Jeff’s and Matt’s, too!)

I – INDOORSY – (which is the opposite of outdoorsy).  Unless I’m getting the mail or walking out to the car, I don’t go outside.

R – REASONABLE - at least I try to be.

E – EMOTIONAL – definitely.

Now let’s discuss my blogging skills, for they are pretty much non-existent.  I do not know how to put someone’s name here with a link to their blog, so instead I will just say that I’m tagging CHERYL, JEN, & JENNIFER.

Kitty, TV, the Emmy’s, and 2 Layouts

Here’s the latest picture of Batgirl (“Baby Kitty”).IMG_1335

She enjoys sitting on my mouse pad while I’m at the computer.  Gonna have to get a bigger mousepad.

Let’s discuss TV. First off, equally good as the TV Guide Fall Preview is the Entertainment Weekly Fall Preview which I devoured the second it came in the house.

I have watched 3 previews using the ON DEMAND option on our cable system to see 3 of NBC’s new shows: CHUCK, JOURNEYMAN, and BIONIC WOMAN.

Chuck A+

Journeyman A

Bionic Woman B (I liked the bad chick better than the hero, and I doubt that’s what NBC had in mind).

And now for my annual question: Do you have Emmy Fever????  It’s that time again.  I’ll be glued to my TV all afternoon/evening on Sunday.

My personal picks in just a few of the categories:

Drama: HEROES

Comedy: THE OFFICE

Best Supporting Actor, Drama: MICHAEL EMERSON for LOST – - please please let this man win this.  He was the scariest, freakiest, most manipulative, amazing character on TV this season.

Actor, Comedy: ALEC BALDWIN for 30 ROCK (he’s such a gifted comedian!), truly hysterical!

Actress, Comedy: TINA FEY for 30 ROCK (fresh, witty, quick, and she writes the show too, so give her some extra love)

Supporting Actor, Comedy: NEIL PATRICK HARRIS for HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (and if it can’t be him, then let it be Rainn Wilson for THE OFFICE)

Supporting Actress, Comedy: GIVE IT TO PAM! – - JENNA FISCHER for THE OFFICE

And lastly, here are my 2 latest pages:

Fall TV Guide Preview

It’s that joyous time of year when the Fall TV Guide Preview arrives in my mailbox!  Seriously, this has been an obsession of mine since I was a little kid.  Of course I’ve been reading up on all the new shows, but there’s something so nice about having all the write-ups in one tidy place, my TV Guide.

New shows I’m most looking forward to (in no particular order):

Chuck

Journeyman

Pushing Daisies

Bionic Woman

Moonlight

Shows that I’m more “iffy” about, but that I’ll check out:

Cane

Aliens In America

The Big Bang Theory

Other faves coming back soon – THE OFFICE, 30 ROCK, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER…. – - – YAY!!!!!!!!

It is at this point that I’d like to mention how grateful I am for the invention of the DVR.  :)

I have had SUCH a hard time with my scrapbooking this week.  I’ve done some pages, but it has been hard to come up with any mojo.  Grrrr.  Anyhoooo, here they are.
