It’s Just Me

I’ve spent a good chunk of my day trying to figure out a lot of the new features on this computer.  I think my brain is gonna explode.  I know I’ll “get it” eventually —- patience!!!

Here are some cute pics I got of Baby Batgirl Kitty today.  Of course we have no plans to give her away (even tho we’re just babysitting her) – ummm….. Eric probably has different plans in this area…..

This has been such an amazing weekend!

Anne and I went to Sacramento on Friday to visit Matt & Val’s sweet baby niece Lila in the preemie ward.  She goes home soon, so we wanted to see her before she’s even farther away.

This little angel was born 2 months early at just over 2 pounds.  She has had heart surgery, many stomach surgeries (maybe 4 or 5 – I’ve lost count), and had many complications. She is now 4 months old and weighs 8 pounds and has only one feeding tube and is doing beautifully!  And what a beautiful little bundle!  Anne fell in love with her instantly, and wanted to keep her! 

After our visit with Lila and her sweet mom Andrea, we left for my cousin Brandon’s pre-wedding dinner!  There were so many cousins and aunts and uncles there!  The whole evening and all day Saturday at the wedding festivities was pure heaven being with so much family that I adore.  And Brandon married a beautiful girl named Laura, they are a GORGEOUS couple!

We’re kitten-sitting this week!  Meet BATGIRL (we named her that since she’s pure black and looks just like a bat – minus the wings).  She’s just over 7 weeks old, and of course, we’re all in love (except Eric who probably won’t be falling in love with her anytime soon, although he does admit she’s cute).

Since much of our stuff has been packed, and then the move stalled, our house has been sorely lacking in decor.  We took it upon us to get a few new things instead of hauling ourselves over to the storage unit to dig out previously used items.  

Eric found this yummy clock at Kohl’s, then this week I found the candle holders and candles there.  Yesterday we hung pics of Annie and Jeff next to the mantle. (If I find another frame like those 2, Matt & Val will be placed up there, too, but don’t worry, their wedding pictures are all over the house, so they are well represented).

Went to the Scrapbook EXPO here in town on Friday with my bestest bud Stef.  Even digi scrappers like me can have fun shopping there!  Really, I barely bought a thing, but it was still awesome to see all the new stuff and drool on everything.

So that’s a total of 7 sheets of paper (3 of them being the same  piece of “binder paper” paper from Scenic Route that simply could NOT be ignored – so cute!), 2 pots, an accordian book in a box, a couple of embellishments, and chipboard.  That’s all.

This is the last full week of summer vacation.  I could puke.  I HATE when the school year starts up and interrupts our summer fun.  Ha.  Early mornings and I just don’t mix.  Here we go.  Just keep swimming.

Monday was our 24th wedding anniversary – and BOY, did my hubby surprise me!

This baby’s got Windows Vista, a TV, a DVR, and who knows what else!  I’m a little overwhelmed with all the bells & whistles, but I’ll handle it.
